What happens when you accidentally send out an email that you do not intend to, and only live to regret because your fingers reaction is too slow compared to the digital speed that transmits from your PC to the recipient. The damage is done, it's too late to regret.
However, GMail has a feature that delays the sending out of email messages for a few seconds, giving you time to recall emails.
It is relatively simple to active the Undo Send feature in GMail.
- Click on Settings at the top of the GMail page.
- Click on Labs tab.
- Scroll down to the Undo Send feature and click on "Enable" button.
- Save the Changes, GMail will automatically restart.
After GMail is restarted, you can try composing an email to see it for yourself. After clicking on the "Send" button, you will now see the Undo link (see below) at the top of the email.

Given that there is sufficient time, click on Undo to prevent the email from being sent to the recipient. There is a period of about 5 seconds window for your reaction.
Of course, the best thing is to avoid acting rashly; think twice before clicking on the Send Button.
