Starting with the release of the highly expected BTRFS filesystem, the new Tuz logo (see above) will be replacing the popular Tux Pengiun logo, that all of us have known about for years (see below).
The change is simply because Linus Torvalds, the father of Linux, thinks that we should all contribute to Save The Tasmanian Devil.

said Linus Torvalds in the official release announcement of the BTRFS filesystem.
