PorscheDesign P'9981

With Apple leading the race in the smartphone market following the release of iPhone 4S, BlackBerry made an unexpected product redesign from its tranditional "enterprise-look" to a sleek, slim smartphone, named PorscheDesign P'9981.

The luxurious outlook of the futuristic-looking smartphone is encased within a stainless steel frame. Its back is a hand-wrapped leather cover and comes with QWERTY keyboard that has an embossed accent on every key.

Powered by a 1.2GHz processor, the BlackBerry PorscheDesign P'9981 also comes with a 2.8-inch high-resolution display touch screen and advanced sensoring system. The device comes with an onboard memory of 8GB, is expandable up to 40GB through the addition of a microSD card.

Whilst it is rumoured to be available in store at the later part of this year, the final price is still not confirmed.

Mobile users should be very familiar with this WhatsApp Messenger application. Exist as a cross-platform mobile messaging app, it allows users to exchange messages without having to pay for SMS, and it is also vailable for iPhone, BlackBerry, Android and Nokia.

Utilising only the Internet data plan, it further allows you to use for email and web browsing at no cost to message, whilst staying in touch with your friends.

Normally, this app is charged at US$0.99 for iPhone users. Today (15th October 2011), when I noticed that it is given out as "FREE", perhaps for a one-day promotional offer. Well, iPhone users should access iTunes to download it as soon as possible, or install it via your iPhone AppStore.

WebSite Upgraded Engine to Drupal 6.22

Posted in

Drupal

After a few weeks of Drupal's release to fix issues and vulnerabilities, I have decided to spend some time on Saturday morning to upgrade the site's version to Drupal 6.22.

The twenty-second maintenance release actually contains bug fixes. No security fixes have been applied on this version. Well, it is perhaps a good thing I did not upgrade to Drupal 6.21, as version 6.22 was released exactly on the same day.

Drupal recommends Drupal 7 (currently on version 7.4), however, it is perhaps good to wait a while before upgrading the site to this version, due to several incompatibilities issues that need to be addressed.

NeoHide would like to take the opportunity to thank you, readers for the continued support.
