One year has passed since the successful event of SITEX 2007, and in a few weeks' time SITEX 2008 will soon arrive. Over the years, SITEX has been one of the leading exhibitions of all time in Singapore, and can be considered as the launch pad for Singapore's best infocomm and consumer electronic products. However, what made it special for SITEX this time is that SITEX is turning 20 this year.
This is a majestic event which links the industries' consumer goods with the end-users - an event where innovative technologies in computer hardware and software, digital products, wireless applications and computing solutions from world renowned brands come together. In addition, this event gives consumers the opportunity to find bargainable goods at low prices. Furthermore, there are lots of goodies and discounted items to be offered on sale.
If you have been to last year's SITEX 2007, you would expect something similar, if not even more daunting this year! Expect more than 800,000 visitors to crawl across 200,000 square feet of exhibition hall this time. There will be more than 500 brands of products at your dispense. In addition, there will be over 200 exhibitors showcasing their products.
The venue this year is the same as last year.

Commencing next Thursday, the 4-day event will end on Sunday.
Lucky Draw and Prizes
As part of the usual practice, there will be a lucky draw held for the entire SITEX 2008 event. Buyers can stand to win 8 sets of S$2,000 in cash when a minimum amount of S$100 is spent in a single receipt. Multiple entries will be generated based on the amount spent (up to a maximum of 20 entries in a single transaction).
For example, a S$500 receipt will earn you 5 lucky draw chances. Just remember to present the receipt at the Lucky Draw area (in Hall 5) for redemption and submission of lucky draw forms after you have made your purchase.
Apart from this main lucky draw, female shoppers will also stand to win several attractive mystery prizes. Simply present a single receipt of a minimum $200 purchase at the Lucky Draw Redemption area - that will entitle you to a lucky dip! The top prize is a 50-inch plasma TV. Lucky you, ladies! (I am so jealous)

Parking charges:
- 7am - 5pm: 1st two hours cost $2.30 and each subsequent half-hour costs $1.10.
- 5pm - 7pm: per entry charge is $2.30.

To avoid parking headaches, visitors are recommended to visit the Singapore Expo either by bus or MRT, the local train system (alight at the Expo station). The exhibition hall is served several SBS (Singapore Bus Services) bus routes: No. 12, 24, 35 and 38.
