Simple 4 Ways To Increase AdSense Earning

Google AdSense Logo

Reading some of past articles about Google AdSense, I thought it might be nice to write a little on how to increase AdSense earnings. What I have done below is to compile a few methods on designing and placing AdSense on the blog site to increase click-through rate.

(read on to find out more...)

Quick Methods of AdSense Engagement
  1. Place AdSense on the upper-most page, if possible right below the title heading. According to psychology, human normally browse through the content starting from the top. If there is a link for them to click, chances are they may click on it to find out for themselves.
  2. Within the content of an article, it is also a good idea to blend the AdSense into the content. If your webpage has a white background, avoid using coloured border for your AdSense.
  3. AdSense earnings vary with different advertisement formats. In the past, I have found that 300x250 and the 336x280 ads have higher click-through rate. Not quite sure why that happens to be the case, but it is definitely quite interesting to have found out something like this.
  4. Give your AdSense different looks each time. Most importantly, always have the courage to test out new design, for example, using another ad format size, or different font colour. Do not be afraid to change. Moreover, a new look brings fresher taste to the readers. Make use of the Channel feature, provided by Google AdSense, to help track the ads used.

Of course, there are more tactics and ideas to use. However, it is vital to take note of this - do not congest your blog site with AdSense ads all over the place, such that the site has more advertisement than content. It really turns off the readers.

Remember, it is only traffic that drives revenue. It is always good to have more traffic, hence more readers coming by than to use tactics to increase click-rate. The latter should only be used wisely and moderately.
