PuTTY is a SSH and telnet client, developed originally by Simon Tatham for the Windows platform. Furthermore, it is an open source software that is available with source code.
With the latest development of running 64-bit computing, such as Linux and Windows 7, PuTTY has not developed any release for 64-bit.
However, Spunk has taken it to the next level to come up with a 64-bit release, based on the 0.60 version. I have personally tested it and is pretty impressed with the usage.
