Exactly 5 days! Yes, that is correct - the number of days Paris Hilton has been serving her sentence at the Century Regional Detention Facility in suburban Los Angeles for violating probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case.
The initial sentence was 45 days, but because of an unspecified medical problem, the Hilton Hotel heiress and will fulfil the remainder of her 45-day sentence in home confinement instead.
During her imprisonment, Hilton was housed in the "special needs" unit of the 13-year-old jail, separate from most of its 2,200 inmates. The unit contains 12 two-person cells reserved for police officers, public officials, celebrities and other high-profile inmates. As for Hilton herself, she did not have a cellmate.
