A new breakthrough technology has allowed the evolution of memory cards that supports up to 2 Terabytes (TB) in memory! Announced by the SD Association, a new card specification dubbed by SDXC (eXtended Capacity) is capable of up to read/write speeds up to 104MB per second.
With this technology, it allows huge storage of objects, such as over 100 high-definition movies, 60 hours of HD records, or 17,000 fine-mode photos.
The SDXC specification uses Microsoft's exFAT file system to support its large capacity and interoperability in a broad range of PCs, consumer electronics and mobile phones.
