To find out the originality of your mobile, here is one way which you can try.
- On your keypad, type *#06#
- A 15-digit code will appear after entering you have keyed in the above code, e.g.
4 3 4 5 6 6 1 0 6 7 8 9 4 3 5
Take note of the 7th and 8th digits of the above new code. Below denotes the significance of these two digits.
If the two digits are:
- 02 or 20 - the device was assembled on Emirates. It means the mobile device is of very bad quality!
- 08 or 80 - it is manufactured in Germany, which is not bad.
- 01 or 10 - the phone is manufactured in Finland, which is relatively good.
- 00 - the electronic device is manufactured in the original factory, which means it probably has the best quality.
- 13 - the phone is manufactured and assembled in Azerbaijan, and it simply means relatively bad quality. It could also be hazardous to your health.
My friend's mobile phone is Nokia, and her result was 01. So, where is your mobile phone manufactured from?
