Microsoft, the software maker, has offered college students a choice to "steal" Microsoft Office 2007 instead of paying a huge price. Well, it isn't exactly stealing. In fact, Microsoft is launching a promotion, known as Ultimate Steal for college students, such that students can purchase the ultra high-end Ultimate edition of Microsoft Office for merely $60. Source according to CNet News reports.
The promotion kicks off on Wednesday in Canada, United States and the United Kingdom. It will follow by France, Italy and Spain next week.
Eligibility
In order to be eligible, students have to be actively-enrolled in a higher education program and need to have an email address from that school.
Alan Yates, general manager of Worldwide Education at Microsoft said, "... The Ultimate Steal is the latest in a long history of providing compelling academic offers for students....".
Looks like Microsoft is more willing to lower their price tag on high-end products than to live with piracy.
