In an attempt to challenge Twitter and Facebook, Google launched its very own social networking service last Tuesday, known as Google Buzz. As announced on its blog site, Google Buzz is built into users' GMail accounts and allow users to post status update (similar to that of Twitter), share photo and videos.

Leveraging on the Google Map, it also allows the service to publish the geographical location of the users. Unfortunately, to many users, analysts have spelled out that Google might have come along a little too late.

When Google realised the importance of social networking by the utility of short messages blogging, Twitter is already flying like rockets, reaching out to millions of people around the world.

In addition, Google Buzz integrates the users' social networking with all the contacts in the GMail account, which is in a way not preferred by many. GMail links its contacts to friends, family, news-makers, business partners, acquaintances, etc. As such, users do not have the interest to let everyone know about what he or she is up to, simply because business messages are traded, as well as, personal messages on the same channel and medium.

In terms of business, Google makes quite a good move - unfortunately, is it a little too late? And how much do they understand in terms of privacy.
