Some products were sold off within half an hour, e.g. 50 laptops offered at a discounted price of S$999. Many people were surprised at this turn-out, and everyone was caught in the traffic jam inside the three convention halls, which was considered minimal this year.

Huge crowds were confined to a minimum space, jammed packed like sardines, trying to make their way to the selected booths of choice (above). Besides browsing the exhibition products and bagging unbelievable bargains, one can also expect the viewing pleasure of promo girls dressed to impress!

Competitive Prices
Price are usually extremely competitive for electronic products at PC shows, as one could expect, this PC Show is no exception. You can get USB thumb drives, Apple iPods, or even routers and modems at extremely attractive bargain prices (above and below).
Irrespective of how resellers quote prices at the exhibitions, there's still more than the odd customer (below) who would try their luck to negotiate better prices.

Banners fly high, leaflets and brochures are distributed at the respective booths and entrances, so the smart customer would collect all relevant information and read at home. This is a good strategy especially for those who are genuinely keen in purchasing a certain product. (Below shows a Lenovo N100 laptop promotion placed up high on a signboard.)

Tomorrow is the last day (Sunday) of the PC Show 2007, and it is expected that the crowd will be even far more daunting than the first day. As evident from previous IT fairs, many of the participating companies would often slash their prices to rid off stocks, in their last attempts to drive final sales, whatever the volume. If you're the lucky one, you could even reap fantastic freebies on the last day. Last year, I got a free thumb drive!
So in essence, unless you're in a hurry to purchase a product, you should always take time to browse and compare prices and make your way into the IT fair on the last few days where the array of products would no doubt be much lesser, but where the prices would be more attractive.
