PHPLinkDirectory Retrieve or Reset Admin Password

You can easily retrieve or reset your password for admin access to your PHPLinkDirectory (phpLD) site, with a simple phpMyAdmin SQL editing. In order to do that you must be able to access the phpMyAdmin panel.

(see more step-by-step instruction to recover your password...)

Instruction

  1. Access your phpMyAdmin control panel and select the phpLinkDirectory database.
  2. Then click on PLD_USER to display the row consisting of the admin user.
  3. Click on the "pencil" icon to edit the record.
  4. On the password field, enter the plain-text password. If you are using hash, then use the following password hash for your user.
    d033e22ae348aeb5660fc2140aec35850c4da997

That will set your password to "admin".

  5. Save the new setting. That's it!

I managed to resolve this 'Forgot My Password' syndrome with this method. Hope that it helps you in your cause too. Cheers!
