Due to protests in Thailand that had unexpectedly turned violet, the Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport has been closed. According to the airport chief, the anti-government protesters had kept at least 3,000 passengers stranded at the Bangkok International Airport as they took control of the building.
As such, the entire airport operations have halted since GMT 2100hrs on Tuesday. About a hundred of flights are believed to be affected by this event, which is very much attributed by political reasons.
As of now, no flight is able to operate to and from Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport until further notice.
